REGIO CRAFTS WORKSHOP in the humor and satire city - Gabrovo

From 5 to 8 November 2013 in ‘ Hristo Tsokeva art gallery’ in Bulgaria city Gabrovo,  was going on the third seminar ‘Skills and knowledge transfer’ of the project ‘Regional cooperation for crafts ' development ‘ . In this project  representatives of the 7 Europe countries shared they they experiences about how to envolve youth in craft industry, and abut  the various educational institutions cooperation to  increase joined value. Latvia was represented by the craftsmens and designers. Ceramic Ilona Sausa from society ‘Baltic Raku’ , glasscutter Inga Salmina from Livani aswell as designer  and the founder of the company' ‘Purpurs’ Ginta Smite .
 
In the seminar also  was included cultural program durring wich participants enjoyed ‘Humore and  satire Museum’ (www.humorhouse.bg), visit to an international craft fair architectural ethnographic complex ‘ Etara ‘ ( htpp :/ / www.etar.org ) , as well as town Tryavna wich is and remarkable place where crafts and heritage - preservation are a municipality policy. The town itself is an open -air museum where old and modern times are integrated into a living entity .
 
 
INTERREG IVC project "Regional Cooperation for Crafts Development" (Regio-Crafts) unites seven  partners from Latvia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria and Greece whos aims are to strengthen the crafts industry in the European Union as an economic sector and rise its importance in the economy and development of each project partner region.
